We had a small group tonight due to a change of schedule, but they had fun and Emeric gave a great lesson.

Transfer Lunch for the Missionaries

Two going to Suisse, one going to Nimes and one going to Bayonne.  After 8 months in Marseille Sister Gunnel is finally going to a new area.  She gets to go to Suisse.  It will be sad to see them go.  We remain as always in Marseille. We see missionaries come and missionaries go.  On every transfer Saturday we have a BIG! lunch for the missionaries who are leaving at our home.  These are good missionaries.  We love them and wish them well.

Soiree Familiale de Marseille JA

So we were just made an Official JA center here in Marseille.  We are the only Stake in France with two JA Centers.  Very proud if this.  This is one of our family nights.  Coralie Abbate is teaching and dinner after.  Coralie has only been a member for about 8 months.  She is awesome!  Notice at the dinner the pottery.  This the stuff we bought in Saint Remy and Les Beau de Provence to bring home.  These are the young people we have learned to Love very much.

Day Trip Through Provence

Today mom and I went to get some things for the Center of a Provincial nature.  We bought some things that can only be purchased in certain areas of Provence.  We are trying to have all the different regions of Provence represented.  So we went to Saint Remy for some serving pottery for the JA dinners.  (Look for the pottery in the pictures of the dinners.  The pottery will be used for the first time tomorrow after Soiree Familiale.  Each week we have a dinner for the JA).  We started in Saint Remy, went through Cavaillon, then on to Avignon just for dinner since it was close.  We were just made an official Center so we are now going to get to buy new furniture, computers and hopefully a Wii.  The photos are nothing special, but driving from ville to ville in Provence is very tranquille.

Soirée Familiale et Dîner

This is something new we are trying.  After Family Night we are having a nice dinner for the JA here.

Opening Night at Institute

This is the dinner after Institute at the house of Frere Faudin's house.  Dinner starts at 9:00 PM and finishes about 11:30.  We had our first time with institute at his house so we could make it special for the kids.  Next week it will return to center at the Church.  Again, it is always a late night in Europe with the young adults.  

Soirée Familiale With Elder Rutman Teaching

We we had a small turn out tonight.  With everyone in school and working, we need to change our night for FHE.  Normally we have about 12, but tonight we were thin.  Sort of sad cause I planned so hard for this lesson.  But these four girls are the best.  I need to sit now because my knees are not too functional.  It hurts a lot when I stand, so I teach sitting. If I walk it is not so bad, but I need to keep moving.  I am now on crutches full time except when I just can't wait around to jet them.  It is hard cause I need the exercise as you can tell.  Here are two movies of me teaching in French with a little help from Orianne Laget, Our JA President.  My knees were really hurting tonight so my concentration was not all there.

I collect these patches from every city that I have been in for assignment or P Day.  The four villes I am missing are Lyon, Saint Remy, Orange and Bayonne.  Still working on those.
